Job summary

Amazon is seeking an exceptional HR leader to drive the development and implementation of the HR strategy for the AWS Infrastructure Leadership. This role requires a data‑driven, customer‑obsessed HR leader who can shape organization effectiveness.

You will partner with senior managers to design HR plans, manage succession and performance processes, and support engagement initiatives across the West US, Canada, and LATAM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic settings.
• Knowledge of human resource theory, including employee relations, learning, and performance management.
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• 8+ years of HR experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up.
• Experience working with employment & labor laws across the US, Canada and LATAM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions.
• Contribute to the West US, Canada, LATAM regional teams, influencing beyond a local remit.
• Define HR goals based on business drivers and address underlying people issues.
• Earn trust as a partner to Infrastructure leadership and regional HR teams.
• Partner on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and development.
• Provide management coaching to front line managers and senior leaders.
• Review business metrics on retention and employee experience and propose improvements.
• Lead annual and mid-year review processes focusing on performance and talent development.
• Provide compensation support including salary planning and promotions.
• Address employee relations issues fairly and in line with policy.
