Gallagher Benefit Services, part of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR Consulting Services team in Norwalk, CT.

You will provide client-facing HR support across benefits, ER, policy development, and regulatory compliance for diverse organizations. The role involves improving performance management, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, and HRIS support within a collaborative, nationwide practice.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a dedicated HR function.
• Experience with benefits, employee relations, and policy development.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment regulations and HR practices.
• Experience managing leave of absence cases, ideally across multiple states.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and business savvy.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and interact with all levels of management.
• Highly organized, able to meet deadlines and work independently.
• High proficiency with Excel and HRIS/Payroll platforms, able to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise on disciplinary actions, grievances and conflict resolution.
• Oversee performance management programs and administration.
• Manage multi-state leave of absence programs and accommodations.
• Administer benefits including reconciliation and open enrollment.
• Handle onboarding and termination processes.
• Provide HRIS support across different systems.
• Contribute to policy development and alignment with laws.
• Mentor junior team members and serve as escalation point.
