Job summary

Yahoo Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager for HR AI Strategy & Governance to shape the AI roadmap and establish governance across HR initiatives. You will partner with the Director of People Technology to prioritize use cases and guide governance through legal, privacy, and security reviews.

You’ll lead a team, stay hands-on when needed, and collaborate with HR and technical teams to scale secure AI-enabled workflows and data access. The role emphasizes responsible AI and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across HR technology, product management, workflow automation, or related areas.
• Experience developing AI or automation roadmaps, evaluating use cases, and turning business needs into practical solutions.
• Experience working with AI governance, data privacy, compliance, or risk-review processes.
• Familiarity with HR technology platforms such as Workday and data platforms such as BigQuery or Google Cloud Platform.
• The ability to explain AI capabilities, limitations, and risks clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Set direction for HR’s AI roadmap by partnering with HR leaders and the Director of People Technology.
• Manage the intake and governance reviews for new AI use cases with legal, privacy, and security teams.
• Guide AI and automation solutions from initial idea through adoption and improvement.
• Improve the technical foundation by ensuring secure data access and scalable infrastructure (BigQuery, GCP).
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across HR, Legal, Privacy, IT, and Data Engineering to remove blockers.
