Job summary

The City of Austin's Austin Public Library is seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor Senior to partner with leaders on HR programs, analyze issues, and advise on policy and procedures.

You will lead complex HR initiatives, provide training to managers, monitor data, and ensure compliance while supporting a diverse workplace and public service mission. Some telework may be available depending on operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus four years of HR experience.
• Experience providing advanced employee relations consultation and guidance on laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with senior leaders on HR program analysis, implementation, and administration.
• Advices and influences management in HR decisions and policy interpretation.
• Provides training to managers on HR topics and procedures.
• Monitors data, reports, and program trends to support decision making.
