Austin Public Library is seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor to partner with leaders on HR program design and policy implementation. The role handles complex employee relations, investigations, and coaching to improve performance and engagement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of HR experience.
• Experience providing advanced employee relations consultation, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Ability to interpret, apply, and counsel on federal, state, and local laws and City policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication and training delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with senior leaders and management on HR program analysis, implementation, and administration.
• Manages and resolves complex HR issues and advises on policy and process improvements.
• Provides training to managers and supervisors on HR topics and procedures.
• Monitors data quality, generates management reports, and supports decision making.
• Maintains HR system data, files, and reporting; partners with vendors as needed.
• Represents subject matter expertise in employee relations and regulatory compliance.
