Job summary

Port Gamble S’Klallam Housing Authority seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions and staff. You will manage AP, payroll, and LIHTC project accounting, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting for state and federal agencies.

Responsibilities include budgeting, grants reporting, and bank reconciliations, with regular collaboration with the Executive Director and Tribal Council. This role is full-time and on-site in Kingston, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; AA Degree required in an accounting-related field.
• Minimum 4 years in a lead accounting role.
• Experience or certification with LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credits) or ability to certify within 6 months.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to implement Housing Authority policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and payroll; supervise accounting staff.
• Manage LIHTC project accounting, AR, cash management, and general ledger.
• Prepare timely financial reports for staff, board, and agencies; ensure state/federal reporting.
