Kana Hotel Group is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to oversee ongoing hotel maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety compliance. You will supervise the maintenance team, coordinate with management, and ensure timely project completion and record-keeping.

The role requires 5+ years in building engineering, supervisory experience, and trades certifications. Strong knowledge of building systems and energy management is essential for this on-site Illinois property.

Qualifications

• Trade certification or apprenticeship preferred
• 5+ years building engineer experience
• 2+ years supervisory maintenance experience
• EPA CFC license or equivalent certification preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems
• Obtain city/state licenses within six months if not already held
• Maintain records and comply with safety/environmental laws

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operation for hotel facilities including HVAC, electrical, plumbing
• Coordinate with management to meet schedules and budgets
• Supervise and train maintenance staff
• Maintain energy management programs and audits
• Ensure safety compliance and OSHA logs
• Respond to guest and contractor requests promptly
• Ensure building integrity and compliance with codes
