Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience is required; hotel or commercial property maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, appliances, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify maintenance concerns and determine appropriate solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to lead, train, coach, and motivate team members.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Guest-service-oriented demeanor with a professional, positive attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily engineering and maintenance operations to ensure standards.
• Routinely inspect spaces for maintenance, safety, appearance, and needs.
• Manage the hotel's preventative maintenance program with documentation.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies with timely follow-up.
• Prioritize maintenance to minimize guest disruption and protect assets.
• Monitor building systems and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
• Obtain quotes and advise leadership on major repairs and projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office on room status and needs.
• Uphold safety practices and compliance with OSHA and regulations.
• Recruit, train, and develop engineering staff; foster teamwork.
• Provide on-call support for urgent needs and assist with budgets.
