Job summary

Pier House in Washington, DC is seeking a seasoned Hotel Engineer to uphold operational standards across the Engineering Department and lead a team of maintenance professionals.

You will conduct walk-throughs, manage preventive maintenance for rooms and public areas, and implement OSHA safety policies while collaborating with hotel leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general building construction.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Ability to read drawings/diagrams/blueprints and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational standards of the Engineering Department.
• Conduct walk-throughs and assess maintenance of hotel structure, systems and equipment.
• Manage Preventive Maintenance Program for Rooms and Public Areas and keep records.
• Collaborate with hotel management and General Manager.
• Hire, train, supervise, coach, and counsel associates, including managers.
• Maintain grounds for great arrival experience.
• Implement safety policies and OSHA procedures.
