Job summary

The role requires strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, plus the ability to read blueprints and lead a team.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Vocational training or an associate degree and/or applicable certification.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints and interpret test equipment.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel is well maintained and meets operational standards.
• Perform regular walk-throughs and assess the maintenance of structures, systems, and equipment.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs for rooms and public areas; keep records updated.
• Collaborate with hotel management and the General Manager.
• Hire, train, supervise, and coach associates, including managers.
• Maintain grounds to ensure a great arrival experience.
• Implement safety and emergency policies, OSHA Hazcom compliance, and safe lifting.
