Job summary
The Chief Engineer at HHM Hotels in Brownsville, TX, is responsible for managing general and preventative maintenance to meet guest service and sustainability standards across the hotel. You will lead the maintenance team, coordinate bids and contracts with vendors, oversee small projects and Property Improvement Plans, and supervise technical repairs.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or trade school coursework preferred.
- Supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required.
- HVAC certification required.
- Other certifications may be required based on local needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance teams to meet brand standards and values.
- Manage bids, quotes, and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
- Oversee small projects and Property Improvement Plans.
- Perform and supervise repairs including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
- Maintain PM records for all rooms and equipment; test life safety systems.
- Ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
- Maintain exterior and curb appeal following sustainability guidelines.
- Enhance guest satisfaction through safe and efficient operations.
