Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician in Milwaukee, WI to maintain a wide range of building systems and equipment. You will document work in CMMS, troubleshoot complex machinery, and support patient care environments with minimal supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years of equipment maintenance, and a valid driver’s license. Occasional weekends or off-shift hours may be required, with a full-time schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Driver’s license required.
• Certification and/or additional training in a skill/trade/equipment/system.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards and documents via CMMS.
• Maintains, repairs, and conducts complex troubleshooting on mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, and controls.
• Maintains patient care equipment including beds, wheelchairs, and carts with minimal guidance.
• Troubleshoots mechanical/electrical systems such as HVAC, piping, and refrigeration with minimal supervision.
• Performs routine to complex maintenance across grounds, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures) and notifies stakeholders promptly.
• Reads blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
