Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services Worker III to perform advanced cleaning, sanitation, and facility maintenance in a busy hospital environment. You will lead floor care, waste management, and infection control efforts, with training and mentoring responsibilities for newer staff.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or healthcare facility maintenance.
• Experience in terminal cleaning, waste management, and advanced floor care in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, and deep-cleaning carpets.
• Handles hazardous and nonhazardous waste following OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Executes terminal cleaning and disinfection in high-risk areas such as ORs and ICUs.
• Trains and mentors new staff on cleaning techniques and infection control.
• Assists with special projects and emergency cleaning tasks as needed.
• Monitors supplies and reports inventory shortages to minimize waste.
• Identifies maintenance and safety concerns and communicates promptly.
