The role includes training new staff, overseeing complex cleaning tasks, supporting emergency cleaning, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns, with regular day shifts for part-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or healthcare facility maintenance (required).
• Experience in terminal cleaning, waste management, and advanced floor care techniques in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, deep-cleaning carpets, and operating floor maintenance equipment.
• Handles hazardous, infectious, and noninfectious waste disposal compliant with OSHA, EPA, and hospital policies.
• Executes terminal cleaning and disinfection in high-risk areas (operating rooms, isolation units, ICUs).
• Trains and mentors new Environmental Services staff, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and safety procedures.
• Assists with special projects, such as construction cleanup and emergency response cleaning.
• Moves, arranges, and adjusts furniture, medical equipment, and floor mats as needed.
• Monitors and replenishes cleaning supplies, reporting shortages and minimizing waste.
• Identifies and reports maintenance or safety concerns for prompt resolution.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
