Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance required.
• Certification in Environmental Services or Healthcare Cleaning (CHEST/CHESP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, shampooing) to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of waste including biohazardous materials following hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle soiled linens, replace with clean bags, ensure proper containment and storage.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Respond to spills and contamination cleanups with proper disinfection.
• Move furniture and equipment for cleaning or department relocations.
• Monitor cleaning supplies usage and ensure safe storage and usage.
• Communicate maintenance and repair needs to supervisor or facilities department.
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs and report completed tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance.
