Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking an Environmental Services Worker III to join our hospital team in Florida. You will lead advanced cleaning operations, including floor care, terminal disinfection in high-risk areas, and waste management, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of floor care techniques, chemical safety, and infection control protocols.
Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning machines and buffers.
Experience training or mentoring staff on proper cleaning procedures and safety.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and deep cleaning of carpets.
Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Execute terminal cleaning and disinfection in high-risk areas, including ORs and ICUs.
Train and mentor new Environmental Services staff on procedures and safety.
Assist with special cleaning projects and emergency response cleanup as needed.
Report maintenance issues and supply shortages to prevent downtime.
