Job summary

H.O.M.E. in Chicago seeks an Upkeep & Repair Manager to lead the Upkeep & Repair Program, supervise Home Repair Specialists and staff, and ensure high-quality, timely services for low-income seniors on the south and west sides.

You will assess complex repairs, develop scopes of work, estimate labor and materials, and coach staff in repair techniques and customer service. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Director, you’ll optimize workflows, manage resources, and monitor program performance

Qualifications

• Five or more years in residential home repair, facilities maintenance, or construction.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience required.
• Experience estimating projects, scheduling work, and coordinating multiple staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the Upkeep & Repair Program and supervise staff.
• Conduct complex home assessments, determine repair feasibility and costs.
• Provide technical guidance on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and accessibility mods.
• Monitor safety procedures, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
• Prepare monthly program reports and assist with budgeting and grants.
