Job summary

H.O.M.E. seeks an Upkeep & Repair Manager to lead the housing repair program for south and west side seniors. You will supervise repair staff, evaluate repair requests, conduct complex assessments, estimate labor and materials, ensure quality results, and coach staff on repair techniques and customer service.

On-site field work is required alongside the office team. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Director, you’ll improve workflows, resource allocation, and program performance while

Qualifications

• Five years or more of residential home repair, facilities maintenance, or construction experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Ability to organize, schedule, and manage multiple staff and tasks.
• Experience with safety protocols and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of Upkeep & Repair Program including supervising staff.
• Conduct complex home assessments and determine repair feasibility and costs.
• Provide technical guidance on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, accessibility modifications.
• Administer Jobber software and coordinate repair requests and scheduling.
• Monitor workloads and ensure timely completion and quality standards.
• Prepare program reports and assist with budgeting and grant reporting.
• Foster safety, accountability, and customer service.
• Travel throughout Chicago as needed.
