Job summary

Always Compassionate Health is seeking highly experienced Home Infusion RNs to administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and other advanced therapies in patients’ homes across Nassau County. This role targets RNs with 3–4 years of hands-on chemotherapy experience and current ONCC/ONS certification.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New York State RN license
• Minimum 3-4 years of recent chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration experience
• Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or ONCC certification
• Recent infusion experience in home care or similar setting
• Demonstrated competency administering chemotherapy and related therapies
• Strong venous access and central-line skills
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred
• Ability to assess patients and initiate interventions
• Reliable transportation for field-based visits
• Proficiency with electronic, paperless clinical documentation

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments in the patient’s home
• Review and interpret orders and treatment plans
• Prepare and administer chemo, immunotherapy, biologics
• Monitor patients during treatment
• Respond to infusion reactions and clinical changes
• Perform peripheral IV insertion and phlebotomy
• Access and manage PICCs, ports, and central lines
• Perform central-line dressing changes and line maintenance
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment and safety
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Conduct follow-up visits and ongoing assessments
• Precept or mentor newly hired infusion nurses
