Job summary

Always Compassionate Health is seeking highly experienced Home Infusion Registered Nurses to provide chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and other advanced infusion therapies in patients' homes throughout Nassau County.

This opportunity targets RNs with 3–4 years of recent infusion experience and an ONCC/ONS certificate, with a focus on safe, coordinated care from admission through follow-up, collaborating with families, pharmacies, physicians, and our Infusion Intake Team.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New York State RN license.
• 3–4 years of chemotherapy and immunotherapy experience.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or ONCC certification.
• Infusion experience in home care, oncology, infusion center, hospital or clinic.
• Competent in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and other infusion therapies.
• Strong venous access and central-line skills.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to assess patients and respond to adverse reactions.
• Reliable transportation for field visits.
• Proficient with electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments in the patient’s home.
• Review and interpret physicians' orders and treatment plans.
• Prepare and administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and prescribed infusions.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Recognize and respond to infusion reactions and clinical changes.
• Perform peripheral IV insertion and phlebotomy.
• Access and manage PICCs, midlines, central venous catheters, ports.
• Perform central-line dressing changes and line maintenance.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment, side effects, and safety.
• Communicate with patients, families, pharmacies, physicians, and internal staff.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation.
• Perform follow-up visits and ongoing assessments.
• Precept or evaluate newly hired infusion nurses when requested.
