Job summary

Langley Federal Credit Union seeks a Senior Home Equity Loan Processor to own the full processing cycle from application to closing and to mentor the team. You will collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, appraisers, closers, and members to ensure timely, high-quality processing and a superior member experience.

The role requires an Associate's degree and a minimum of five years in consumer or mortgage lending, including at least three years in home equity processing.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business, finance, a related field, or equivalent experience, required.
• Minimum five years of experience in consumer or mortgage lending required, with at least three years in home equity or mortgage loan processing specifically.

Responsibilities

• Performs core functions of a Home Equity Loan Processor: document collection, verification, and borrower/third-party communications.
• Mentors and guides processing staff to develop knowledge and skills.
• Assists with pipeline management and escalation handling.
• Shares best practices with internal and external partners to improve processes.
• Partners with management to resolve issues and promote operational efficiency.
• Manages escalated calls and member messages professionally and promptly.
• Responds to member experience surveys in a timely manner.
