Job summary

St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital seeks a Senior HIM Specialist to manage advanced Health Information Management tasks, ensuring the integrity and availability of patient records across the lifecycle.

You will handle document imaging, chart analysis, data integrity resolution, and record completion, working independently in a fast-paced environment. This role requires HIPAA expertise and regulatory knowledge, experience with EMR systems, and the ability to support providers and stakeholders

Qualifications

Advanced Health Information Management experience in acute care or healthcare settings.
Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience with EMR systems and HIM applications.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced HIM functions including document imaging and quality review.
Analyze medical records for completeness and manage deficiencies per regulatory requirements.
Investigate and resolve data integrity issues and maintain Master Patient Index accuracy.
Process and reconcile ROI requests in compliance with standards.
Support providers and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
