Job summary

CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, NE, seeks an HIM Specialist Senior to maintain the integrity and availability of patient health records across the medical record lifecycle. You will ensure HIPAA compliance and support providers in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Daily duties include advanced HIM tasks, chart analysis, and ROI support while meeting productivity and quality targets. A minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting with EMR proficiency is required; RHIT/RHIA preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Health Information Management experience in an acute care or healthcare setting.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and HIM applications.
• High school diploma or GED required; RHIT/RHIA preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced HIM functions including document imaging and complex chart analysis.
• Resolve data integrity issues to ensure accuracy of Master Patient Index.
• Manage record completion processes and reconciling rejected orders.
• Support release of information (ROI) requests while meeting productivity and quality standards.
