Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Highway Project Manager in Pittsburgh to lead complex highway design and delivery efforts for PennDOT, PTC, and city clients. The role emphasizes technical leadership, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff.

You will guide roadway geometric design, traffic plans, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams, while advancing STV’s transportation services and regional growth. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 12+ years of experience in highway engineering and transportation design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design and delivery of transportation projects for clients including PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), the City of Pittsburgh, and other public agencies.
• Manage the development of roadway geometrics, roadway models, cross sections, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, utility coordination, and right-of-way plans.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers, helping team members grow and succeed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, client stakeholders, and marketing professionals to deliver successful projects and support new opportunities.
• Coordinate project activities to ensure high-quality deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with the preparation of specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
• Contribute to proposal development, including technical approaches and pricing strategies.
• Support client relationship management, business development initiatives, and industry engagement efforts that help expand STV’s presence and services.
• Build strong working relationships with client project managers, technical staff, and key stakeholders.
