Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead structural efforts on transportation projects in the Pittsburgh area. You will manage projects from planning through construction, ensuring quality work and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes mentoring, business development, and cross-state project support. A PE license in PA and 15+ years’ experience are preferred, with a strong background in steel, concrete, and prestressed structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania.
• 15+ years in structural design and management of bridges/transportation projects.
• Proven project management and business development success.
• Ability to lead projects from concept through construction while building client relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel/Word; Mathcad.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willingness to support projects across PA and other states.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts on transportation projects.
• Manage bridge/infrastructure projects from planning to construction.
• Deliver high-quality technical work and exceptional client service.
• Support business development, including proposals and pursuit strategies.
• Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Design and analyze bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and related structures.
• Develop rehabilitation solutions and perform bridge load ratings.
