Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a working Supervisor Crew Foreman to oversee a county maintenance Special Project/Drainage/Vegetation Crew. You will supervise skilled and semi-skilled workers in maintenance of roads and bridges on the state highway system and operate motorized equipment as needed.

Responsibilities include planning daily schedules, coordinating safety and traffic control, maintaining records in HMMS and EAMS, and evaluating personnel.

Qualifications

• Three and a half years of related work experience or an approved equivalent.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
• CDL Class A must be attained within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on roads and bridges and operate motorized equipment.
• Supervise crew foreman and skilled/semi-skilled workers.
• Plan daily work and schedule tasks; input data into HMMS and EAMS.
• Coordinate traffic control and safety practices for work zones.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call rotations.
