Job summary

At hire, CDL-A with tank endorsement is required; a trainee path via CDL-B is available with 1-year to obtain CDL-A. The position offers a detailed compensation package including incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after high school.
• Valid CDL-A with tank endorsement.
• MVR must meet minimum standards per DOT.
• Negative pre-employment drug screen per CFR & DOT requirements.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 lbs intermittently.
• Must be available 24 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Operates and troubleshoots complex highway maintenance equipment and vehicles. Provides snow/ice removal and seasonal road treatments.
• Maintains equipment and performs field repairs and adjustments.
• Supervises entry-level workers and small crews to ensure safety and proper methods.
• Responds to winter maintenance and traffic emergencies 24/7 when needed.
• Oversees tasks on varied terrain requiring heavy physical labor.
