Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance, LLC is seeking an experienced estimator to support growth in performance-based maintenance contracting for roadways and bridges. You will prepare detailed estimates for bids by gathering information, performing analyses, and presenting options to leadership.

The ideal candidate will have advanced numerical skills, an analytical mindset, and strong abilities to manage relationships with internal teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven estimator experience; highway or structures asset maintenance a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial and project management principles.
• Proficient in data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
• Advanced math skills and IT aptitude with analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.
• Understand the project/program and its requirements.
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
• Gather first-hand information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
• Use software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting and budgeting.
• Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
• Create and submit estimate reports and/or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, company leadership, etc.).
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
• Present bids to Company Leadership at gate reviews
