State of Indiana’s INDOT Terre Haute Sub-District seeks a Highway Heavy Equipment Mechanic Supervisor to ensure safe, reliable fleet operation. You will lead diagnostic and preventive maintenance efforts and supervise shop personnel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL or obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
• 5+ years of experience applying the knowledge, skills and abilities in heavy equipment repair.
• Working knowledge of safety practices for repair and maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and calibrate heavy and light equipment to minimize downtime.
• Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and urgent repairs within budget.
• Provide limited supervision to shop staff and maintain repair records.
• Operate welding equipment and use diagnostic software as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
