Job summary

State of Indiana through INDOT Vincennes District offers a full-time position focused on highway maintenance, construction inspection, and geotechnical testing support. The role requires CDL or rapid progression to obtain one, physical capability, and ability to lead a crew in field operations.

You will perform winter operations, equipment maintenance, and ensure compliance with INDOT standards while coordinating with contractors and supervisors across multiple assignments.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL or obtain one within 90 days.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow technical documents.
• Ability to independently lead and coordinate a crew in the field.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance and traffic equipment.
• Maintain, repair and clean highways and rights-of-way.
• Supervise staff and report problems to supervisors.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure INDOT standards.
• Perform winter operations and snow removal.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and signage as required.
