Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• HS diploma or HSE with relevant maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of highway maintenance, bridges, and equipment.
• Ability to travel and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Comply with INDOT safety policy and procedures.
• Assign work to units ensuring materials and equipment are available.
• Ensure effective utilization of personnel, time, and equipment.
• Provide supervision to a unit of employees and explain programs.
• Oversee operations and maintenance to meet scheduled finish dates.
• Support winter operations with snow/ice removal and brine equipment maintenance.
• Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees for roles.
• Set expectations, measure progress, and evaluate performance.
• Work site attendance is an essential function.
