Job summary

GM2 Associates, Inc. seeks a civil engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our Virginia-focused practice. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in Virginia, with leadership and mentoring capabilities while upholding QA/QC standards.

This full-time role covers roadway and infrastructure design using MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD, drainage and 3D modeling, and coordination with clients and agencies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in civil or transportation engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, Virginia preferred.
• Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and QA/QC commitment.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support roadway and infrastructure design projects with minimal oversight.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and project standards.
• Develop designs and plans using MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD.
• Perform drainage design and 3D modeling for roadway projects.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and agencies, including CTDOT.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, and schedule management.
