Job summary

Artheon is seeking skilled professionals for civil/environmental projects in New Jersey. The role focuses on on-site inspection of highway construction, ensuring conformance with plans and codes, and preparing reports and estimates.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (preferred) with NICET III certification, NJDOT/NJTA experience, OSHA 10, and strong communication and time-management skills. Night shifts and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering preferred.
• NICET Level III in Highway Construction certification required.
• ACI, TCC, CCTC, and NJSAT certifications required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy highway/bridge construction inspection.
• Experience with NJDOT / NJTA projects required.
• OSHA 10-hour safety course required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good time-management, and ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitors contractor operations and verifies conformance with project plans and specs.
• On-site highway inspector for construction work by contractor/subcontractors.
• Interacts with site supervision to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepares daily reports, change orders, payment estimates, and quantity computations.
• Observes work, documents results with photos, and confirms compliance with standards.
• Reviews field data and discusses projects with the project team daily.
• Makes accurate judgment calls on field activities and may work nights and weekends.
