Job summary

Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our team on projects located in New Jersey. You will inspect heavy highway, bridge, and road construction to ensure contractors meet plans, specs, and safety regulations.

Daily site inspections, material testing, and maintaining logs are core duties. Qualifications include 3+ years in heavy highway construction, NICET II and above, ACI Field Grade I, NJSAT, and Rutgers TCC, plus strong communication and Excel/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction
• NICET II and above, ACI Field Grade I, NJSAT, Rutgers TCC certifications
• Ability to read complex blueprints and use agency electronic record systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: observe work in progress to ensure adherence to project specs and safety rules
• Document Control: prepare daily inspection reports and maintain materials logs
• Safety & Compliance: monitor work zones for safety measures and regulatory compliance
• Project Administration: assist Resident Engineers with submittals, pay items, and monthly estimates
