Job summary

Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our team working on projects in the state of New Jersey. You will perform daily site inspections of heavy highway, bridge, and road projects to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining daily logs, material testing, and ensuring MPT and OSHA compliance, with travel to/from site using a personal vehicle. NICET II+ and ACI Field Grade I are preferred certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction.
• NICET II and above, ACI Field Grade I, NJSAT, and Rutgers TCC certifications.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and use agency record systems (Site Manager, CapEx).
• Familiarity with NJDOT or New Jersey Turnpike Authority standards.
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel to/from and on job site.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Observe work in progress to ensure adherence to plans and specs.
• Document Control: Prepare daily inspection reports and log materials and quantities.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor work zones for MPT and OSHA compliance; address hazards.
• Project Administration: Assist Resident Engineers with submittals and monthly estimates.
