Job summary
Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our team in New Jersey, focusing on heavy highway, bridge, and road projects for state and regional agencies. You will perform daily site inspections, test materials, and maintain logs of progress.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in heavy highway construction, NICET II+ and ACI Field Grade I certifications, and strong communication and writing skills.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction.
- NICET II+ certification, ACI Field Grade I, NJSAT, and Rutgers TCC.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and communicate in writing.
- Familiar with NJDOT or NJ Turnpike Authority standards.
- Reliable vehicle for travel to/from job site.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily site inspections of heavy highway, bridge, and road projects.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain logs of materials used and project progress.
- Monitor safety, MPT compliance, OSHA regulations, and environmental controls.
- Assist Resident Engineers with submittals, tracking pay items, and monthly estimates.
