Job summary

Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for projects located in New Jersey. Primary duties include daily site inspections of heavy highway, bridge, and road work, material testing, and maintaining logs to track progress and materials used.

Responsibilities extend to safety compliance, MPT adherence, and assisting Resident Engineers with submittals, pay items, and monthly estimates. A strong background in NJ standards and solid communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Heavy Highway construction.
• NICET II or higher, ACI Field Grade I, NJSAT, Rutgers TCC certification(s).
• Ability to read complex blueprints and communicate clearly.
• Familiarity with New Jersey DOT or Turnpike standards.
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel to/from and on job site.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Inspect paving, drainage, and structural elements on site.
• Document Control: Prepare daily inspection reports and logs of materials.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor work zones for safety and MPT compliance, enforce regulations.
• Project Administration: Assist Resident Engineers with submittals, pay items, and monthly estimates.
