Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking an experienced Connector Development Engineer to design and develop next-generation interconnect products, including signal and power connectors and cable assemblies. The role requires hands-on engineering, strong collaboration across global teams and customer partners, and expertise in high-speed interconnects.

The candidate will lead projects from concept through qualification, applying standards such as PCI-SIG, OCP, JEDEC and SFF, while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
8+ years in connector and/or cable assembly design and development.
Experience with card edge, memory, and power connectors.
Familiarity with PCIe, DDR, OCP, JEDEC, and SFF standards.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across global teams.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and execution of connector development from concept through qualification.
Design high-speed connectors, power connectors, and cable assemblies.
Collaborate with global customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements.
Apply knowledge of server/storage architectures and industry standards.
Develop prototypes, oversee testing/qualification, ensure compliance.
Conduct cost analysis and support product decisions.
Benchmark competitive products to drive differentiation.
Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing, including customer training.
