Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Jersey City to oversee and coordinate technical and mechanical work for 3+ communities totaling 500+ units. You will ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards, while aligning with budget and operational goals.

The role includes developing scopes of work, managing vendor relations, and analyzing maintenance needs to support property improvements. Onsite housing benefits are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience managing high-rise assets and on-site maintenance teams.
• Ability to plan budgets and develop scopes of work.
• Proven track record in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Experience managing vendor/contractor relations.

Responsibilities

• Manage work orders from resident requests and routine property maintenance.
• Lead on-site maintenance staff for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and schedule vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and common areas.
• Manage maintenance budgets and analyze financial statements.
• Coordinate with Capital Projects Group for capital projects when needed.
