R.B. Hinkle is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy construction machinery on field projects. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, ability to work as part of a team, and proficiency in performing inspections and basic maintenance.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–5 years of experience operating heavy equipment. CDL may be required depending on equipment and project needs; pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a safety-first mindset and the ability to follow site procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret basic project plans or blueprints is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, backhoes) safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Load/unload materials; excavate trenches; grade surfaces as directed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
• Maintain organized work areas and equipment; assist with manual tasks when needed.
