Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a mid-level Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment at our Georgetown, TX location. You will inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble and reassemble equipment, and ensure work aligns with manufacturer specs.

The role supports customer needs and departmental goals, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in heavy equipment repair and a diesel tech background.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Able to read/use schematics and diagrams; experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; diesel tech program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer specifications using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains heavy equipment and components.
• Mentors and helps train other technicians.
• Plans and controls cost of repair jobs; completes parts orders and identifies parts.
• Maintains clean, safe work areas and adheres to safety policies.
• Completes all repair documentation in a timely manner.
• Works overtime as required by workload and customer needs.
