Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to perform inspections, diagnoses, and repairs on heavy equipment in a Texas shop environment. This role requires adherence to safety policies and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Expect four or more years of repair experience, the ability to read schematics, and the capacity to work independently or with a team. Overtime may be required to meet customer needs and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Reading schematics/diagrams is preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer’s specifications
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components
• Maintains all equipment and work areas in clean, orderly condition
• Completes all repair documents in a timely manner
