Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Read/use schematics and diagrams experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer’s specifications using hand and power tools
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components
• Communicates customer needs to shop management and maintains good customer relations
• Plans and controls cost of repair jobs
• Mentors and helps train other technicians
• Maintains equipment and work areas in clean, orderly condition
• Completes all repair documentation in a timely manner
• Works overtime as required by workload and customer needs
• Updates job knowledge through training paths
