Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability and knowledge to read/use schematics and diagrams; experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer’s specifications using hand and power tools.
• Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components.
• Demonstrates good customer relations and supports shop management by communicating needs.
• Plans and controls cost of repair jobs and completes parts orders.
• Mentors and helps train other technicians.
• Maintains all equipment and work areas in clean, orderly condition.
• Completes all repair documents in a timely manner.
• Works safely and adheres to company policies and standards.
• Willingness to work overtime as required by workload.
