Job summary

JCB Inc. in Pooler, Georgia is seeking a skilled Repair Technician to perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on construction and military equipment at our North America site.

The role requires hands-on diagnostics, rework, and retrofits to ensure quality, safety, and performance in a heavy‑duty manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Mechanic Certification, have at least 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, and be able to pass pre-employment

Qualifications

• Must have Mechanic Certification (automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or equivalent).
• At least 3 years hands-on repair experience with heavy equipment or complex mechanical systems.
• Strong ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screens and background checks.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic defects.
• Perform rework and retrofits in assembly repair area.
• Conduct diagnostic testing with appropriate tools and manuals.
• Collaborate with Quality and Assembly to drive improvements.
• Complete daily production and repair reports with findings.
• Follow SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes) safely.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.
• Support production goals by quick repairs to minimize downtime.
