Job summary

JCB North America is seeking a skilled Repair Technician for an onsite role in Pooler, GA. You will diagnose, repair, and retrofit heavy equipment and participate in assembly repair activities to ensure machines meet quality and safety standards.

A strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is required. Applicants should have a high school diploma and a mechanic certification, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanic Certification (automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience repairing or assembling heavy equipment or complex systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic defects identified during or after assembly.
• Perform rework, retrofits, and modifications to machines in Assembly Repair area.
• Conduct diagnostic testing using appropriate tools and documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality and Assembly teams for feedback and continuous improvement.
• Complete daily production and repair reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Follow SOPs and safety protocols; operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per 5S standards.
• Support production goals by quickly addressing repair needs to minimize downtime.
