Job summary

Waste-Pro is seeking an experienced A Technician to diagnose and repair heavy and light duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel and CNG systems. Responsibilities include using vehicle computer electronics, conducting safety checks, and completing required paperwork while upholding OSHA standards.

The role requires strong collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor and shop staff to keep a large refuse and recycling fleet in reliable condition, often in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on technical experience in maintenance and repair of medium duty class 8 vehicles and equipment.
• CDL Class B preferred or ability to obtain a CDL license.
• 7 ASE Certifications or equivalent within 36 months.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements for vehicle fleets.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles.
• Maintain and repair all aspects of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles and equipment.
• Assist coworkers to maintain safe, efficient shop operations.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely, concise manner.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
