Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks. Role may include welding and fabrication and requires working with diesel and alternative fuel systems.

Candidates should diagnose problems, communicate with managers/drivers, and complete repair orders. Strong safety and accuracy in paperwork are essential, with a focus on uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair heavy- and light-duty trucks.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Communicates with managers and drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures and maintains a clean work area.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and guide repairs.
