Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. Welding and fabrication may be required.

You will use diagnostic tools and factory manuals, complete DVIRs, and communicate with drivers and managers about repairs. Our benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, and a monthly tool

Qualifications

• Knowledge to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic and body systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, incl. gas, diesel and CNG.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and material requirements for repairs.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs to maximize safe operations.
• Communicate with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks and perform welding/fabrication as needed.
