Job summary
Waste Pro is seeking a skilled diesel/heavy equipment technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems on a fleet that includes diesel, gasoline, CNG, and hybrid powertrains. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in paperwork, and teamwork with drivers and managers.
You will interpret service manuals, estimate time and material requirements, mentor junior technicians, and strive to meet repair times while upholding company
Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy- and light-duty trucks.
- Ability to interpret service manuals and repair times.
- Familiarity with ASE certifications or pursuing them is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical problems and repair equipment to maximize safe operations.
- Communicate with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
- Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes for repairs.
- Perform safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
- Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.
